taxman
I'm surprised the usual suspects who bleat about the need for spending cuts and spout the condem "we're all in it together" mantra haven't posted on this thread to explain how they've suddenly found all this spare money for a war. spindrift
We could drop live nurses and save in pension costs! The same thought struck me when I read that old iron gates and fences outside Victorian terraces were melted down to use against the nazis. Surely high explosive would have been more effective? Darth Vader
Amazing isn't it? - We're 'too thick' to comprehend the scale of the financial doo doo we're in apparently, so our services and jobs have to go....but we're right in the forefront when it comes to sorting other countries out, costing colossal amounts, and we can even let Vodaphone off with a few billion too, and afford not to up the tax for our blessed bankers. Don't forget, we the taxpayers under write Cameron's and labour's arms exports -under the Export Credit Guarantee. If the latest despotic nutjob defaults we cover the cost of an arms trade that is already subsidised. The arms dealers, with their cosy links to politicians, are laughing all the way to the bank. Just don't try to defend the mobile library service. That is demonstrably wasteful:roll:
