harvey19
I seem to remember talk on the Forum of a massive student, trade union, workers march in London today objecting to the governments actions. Is this still going ahead ?

Keith Rich
There's one on Saturday. But it probably won't be reported on. Certainly not by the right wing press. Mail/Sun/Express/Times/Telegraph.
Funky_Gibbon
But it probably won't be reported on. Certainly not by the right wing press. Mail/Sun/Express/Times/Telegraph. I suspect that ignoring the one on Saturday would be stretching credibility if they want to be consider newspapers.

Keith Rich
I suspect that ignoring the one on Saturday would be stretching credibility if they want to be consider newspapers. Most of these are not newspapers, just propaganda for the the Tories. If it is reported at all it will be a tiny story on page 7. And the people involved will be described as left wing loony/thugs who are just out to cause trouble. If it was a public demonstration by the people against a Labour government it would be headlines on the front page. The people involved would be described as decent honest people forced to take to the streets because of a stupid incompetent government.
Mister M
total waste of time, havnt those people got better things to do on such a lovely weekend? Actually the forecasters have predicted that the weather won't be as nice as it has been over the last few days, though I suspect that will cheer you up no end. Demonstrations are a great way of contradicting the message that comes across from the media time and again that people are apathetic, and couldn't careless about the society that they're living in. WeX
Most of these are not newspapers, just propaganda for the the Tories. did you cry foul when some of these papers backed the labour party or is it only propaganda when they cease to support your preferred flavour of master? Darth Vader
did you cry foul when some of these papers backed the labour party or is it only propaganda when they cease to support your preferred flavour of master? Of course they are pro-Tory. They only supported Labour, when Labour were acting like Tories.
