Personal trainers in kickboxing

Recommended Posts

Carl Do you train with us too?

And yes you are right

http://www.sheffieldkickboxing.com

Is the site

AFK is the name

And they have specialised personal trainers. I hear tjey have been doign private lessons and personal training for some time.

Because of the shifts i work it would be impossible to train regulary if it were not for the private lessons. I possibly would have trained elsewhere too!

I've found that some clubs (the ones i prefer) allow people to work at their own speed within a class anyway. Not all do though, so maybe you should pay the club a visit first and see what a class is like and if it would suit you.

yeah, i think i can understand that, especially the added attention that you get. If that's what people want then that's fine, it's all about personal choice i guess. I have/have had private lessons myself and i've learned a lot from them, but it's been nice for me to put what i've learned into practice in a group setting.

I agree Anvil

I prefer the group setting because im a social type, i like to spar with the lads and have a laugh with everyone.

Its nice to test yourself against everyone in sparrin people of different sizes, heights, people form different styles etc.

Where i train we have guys who have done Taekwondo, the odd MMA fighter, the odd thaiboxer , the odd ex boxer, theres such a mix.

In a private lesson though, especially when you have a perfectionist instructor like Farhad, you can tidy up the "finer points" on how to get extra power into a right cross or little things like where your guard slips slightly say on the left hook, or how you leave your floating rib exposed foir a kick when you punch.

So id say both learning methods are good.
