What you got away with/get away with wearing at School

Recommended Posts

I always wore my tie the thin way round, nothing was ever said. The "rebel" tie fashion at the time was the largest knot and the shortest tie.

I managed to get away with wearing a pyjama shirt once, but was sent home for wearing florescent coloured socks and on another occasion a bootlace tie.

My school was fairly relaxed about the uniform on the whole though. I've just read the uniform rules of my daughter's school today, talk about uptight

I have never, ever had a school uniform at any of my schools, and I remember at one school (King Ed VII), a girl came dressed wearing only her jeans, which were ripped so much they looked like ladders, front and back, both legs, with a swimming costume, and earrings that were long skeletons. King Edwards never had any kind of dress code. It was pretty cool.
