Tradescanthia
My wife is a carer and uses her own car for work. After complaining of only being paid 25p per mile to travel to clients she was told the 'goverment make it up to 40p per mile'. How do they do this and by what means ??? Anyone any suggestions please ?? Thanks
xfox3x
You can claim on your tax . She needs a form from her employer at the end of the year stating how many miles she has done and what her allowance is.
Andy
My sister's in the same boat and has been told she needs a form from the Inland Revenue. Does anyone know any more details? She asked her employer but they weren't very helpful. Many thanks

xfox3x
http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/forms/p87.pdf I work for the NHS and we get a breakdown of our mileage at the end of the year. I've never claimed because we get 36p/mile and it's always seemed too much effort....sloppy of me I know! (so no lectures please:gag:)
