booda
a 2003 mini supercharged started smoking, after it was stopped about a gallon of mayo came out of the expansion tank. it was 2qts low on oil, but no trace of water in oil. only oil in water. is there anything I can check or do before I pull the head off? thanks.

big_g
At a guess, blown head gasket. The mayo is emulsified oil in your water. The 'smoke' is actually steam coming out of the exhaust. Could be other things too like a split cylinder wall which would have the same effect. G
booda
i I an confused too. I forgot to say in first post... it starts right up and sounds good. and no steam comes out the exzost , it seams like the oil burning off where it over flowed on to the exzost pipe right under the firewall
PaymePal
Is the supercharger water cooled?. The oil feed to the compressor bearing may some how be getting into the cooling system if the casting has cracked or a seal has gone?
