Why do we sexualise something if it then offends us?

The French sexualize everything. A table is masculine and a chair feminine for example. The French always were a bunch of sex maniacs anyway.

Here's an example: Let's say a programme on BBC1 about tribal africans showing members of the community naked is aired at 7pm. Why isn't that considered obscene?
