LeFlump
Not to step off a train while it's moving? Although your original question seemed a serious one I'm assuming you're not looking for answers with any depth? That is common sense. Is common sense wisdom? I would like depth, of course, but there is some joy in being silly. Are proverbs a source of wisdom? The Spanish say 'Quien quiera peces, que moje el culo' - Whoever wants fish, go get their ass wet. Is that wisdom?

vwkittie
A quote I like is: 'Knowledge is realising a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad'
RootsBooster
I doubt that I'm correct but my own interpretation of wisdom is that it's something like knowledge that has come from experience, combined with knowing what/when/where it applies
Badlittlepup
Died last October the 1st, Norman late of this manner. Lee Evans does a bad pastiche but true wisdom is no more, deeply mourned all over Albania.

discodown
If ever you go out for a drink with your friends promising your wife you'll be home by 12 but finally get home at 4 roaring drunk, with lipstick on your collar and smelling of perfume make sure you have the wisdom not to smack her on the backside and say "your turn now fatty"
LeFlump
it's something like knowledge that has come from experience, combined with knowing what/when/where it applies So it can be taught, or only taught through experience? Is age a guide to wisdom? Old people have had more experience, so they are wiser?
