Marie Curie Cancer Care’s Peak District Ramble 2011 - Sunday 17 April 2011

Recommended Posts

Join us for the first event in Marie Curie Cancer Care's UK Trek series and set yourself a new challenge for 2011. This 10 mile circular hike has something for novice and experienced walkers alike and features the varied and stunning landscape of the beautiful Peak District.

Starting from Edale in the Hope Valley, the route climbs the ancient and magnificent Mam Tor, home to an Iron Age settlement, from which the view at the top is one of the finest and most spectacular in the area. The route then follows a diverse landscape of peaks and moorland before dropping back down into the beautiful Hope Valley and rejoining the Pennine Way.

By taking on this challenge for Marie Curie Cancer Care you'll be raising much needed funds to enable our nurses to continue to provide specialist end of life nursing care in your community, to terminally ill patients with cancer and other illnesses, all within the comfort of their own homes.

The event is open to anyone 14 yrs and upwards and each participant will receive a complimentary Mountain Challenge t-shirt on registering.
