Flood and Missing People (Double Bill)

Flood by Alice Collins and Missing People by Gill Buttery, a double bill featuring two plays by Sheffield writers with local themes.

 

On the night of the Flood, Jenny waits for her husband to come home - he's late and why hasn't he phoned?

 

In Missing People the time is now. Waclaw, a veteran free Polish airman of the Second World War, reminisces about his escape to England from a German Labour Camp.

 

He meets with some resistance from his daughter Ewa from whom he seems estranged, but his granddaughter is solidly behind her grandfather. A surprise visitor breaks up the winter afternoon at Waclaw's home.
