Should Job Seekers be made to work?

Recommended Posts

I don't think you see the point dave_dave,

who is going to provide this so called work and training towards obtaining your JSA.

What sort of work would be available?.

What training would be available?.

Would working those 10 hours per week restrict your time in finding work, within those hours you are simply working to obtain JSA?.

There are many factors why this would not work, if it was a viable option to make the long term unemployed work for their JSA entitlement, don't you think the government would have tried this already?.

I understand perfectly well thank you. I have already explained to you when your opinions would be relevant and when they are not.

"lol"

"epic fail".

Can you lend me one hundred grand to go to the casino with please? I ask because since you have no concept of accountability, except for the unemployed. I look forward to gambling with your money, and when I lose holding a gun to your head to pay my debts.

I asked the question to see if you had any opinions on whether an alternative measure would work.

I don't know, if you were working 10 hours would that restrict your time finding work? Do you spend all day every day looking?

So what's your answer to the OP?

Do you have any suggestions of your own?

You're still not getting this are you?

I have plenty of opinions on large businesses, banks and a good concept of accountability. However, as I keep telling you, it's not relevant to this thread which is why I see it as pointless to express these opinions.

Are you suggesting that working for JSA is paying back other peoples debts?

Do you have an answer to the OP at all?

Or any suggestions in relation to the OP?

Issues aren't vacuum sealed from one another are they? It's like trying to answer a moral question without recourse to people’s values. You clearly don’t know what you are talking about I'm afraid.

I know exactly what I am talking about, I have tried again and again to explain it to you to no avail but it seems impossible for you to comprehend.

If you take a look back these questions have already been addressed at least once.

I have read the whole thread and none of the questions have been properly addressed.

You stated that it was stealing and I said it was fraud, that is a correction to your comment. You don't state where the finances will come from or who will be paid to be put in charge of those doing forced work so I assume that you have not thought it through. Another question not addressed.

As stated, someone in a job working full time on minimum wage will pay little in the way of taxes so its not a good example.

Just one question, would you be happy that the government would have to spend £billions setting up schemes just to pacify a few people who are wound up by the media?

I stated that I see it's not a viable option, I was simply asking the question in the OP. Therefore I don't feel I need to justify the costs, do you?
