Stormy
Hello there. Am considering converting the car to run on LPG as my yearly milage is about to increase drastically. The car is still on finance though, so does that mean as I don't technically own it yet I can't do it? And does anyone know what the potential implications might be if I were to go ahead and do it anyway, which I probably will do as I am planning to keep the car at the end of the finance period? And finally, can anyone recommend a good garage who can carry out the work? Any further info or advice will be appreciated. Cheers

alchresearch
Would you not be better off PX'ing it for a diesel?
barleycorn
Would you not be better off PX'ing it for a diesel? That will depend upon the relative cost per mile of petrol vs diesel vs LPG. jb
GrannyGranny
If its still on finance you do don't actually own the car, the finance company do and you may have to ask them re. LPG. What type of finance is it on? If its some kind of lease type then you can hand back the car once 50% of the payments are paid off. You could sell the car dependent how much you owe and what the car is worth then buy a more economical car. A system can cost anything from £1200 to around £2500. What car is it? The OP should also factor in the cost of the conversion, insurance, road tax and servicing to the equation too.
