How can an atheist believe in ghosts?

Recommended Posts

thousands of sightings over centuries by people can not be so easily dismissed, they arnt all inventing stories for attention surely, some have been reported by people of good standing such as police officers etc.many of the sightings have passed into folk law such as anne bolyne in the tower of london ,seen by umpteen witnesses over the centuries

Who says that it's Anne Boleyn?

Would have thought being a Police officer is not the best evidence of the existence of bogey men.
usually their evidence holds up in courts throuout the land, are you saying they arnt fit to give evidence as trained observers ?

Not when their evidence includes supernatural mumbo jumbo, no. When did a murderer get life based on a policeman using mumbo jumbo as evidence?

Why would I accept the evidence of a policeman, nurse or doctor when as human beings they are just as fallible as the next human being. For every copper admitting to seeing a ghost there'll be 20 coppers who are bent as a nine bob note, so not a good example eh.

a hundred years ago people would have denied the existance of dna as evidence ,we cant see it but know its there ,just the same as we cant see the wind ,but it exists
