Top five- most valuable in society.

Recommended Posts

Let's pretend everyone went on national strike demanding better pay. Who would you expect the govenment to start negotiations with first?

No 1 being the most valuable, I would say

1) The medically trained- surgeons/doctors

2) The military

3) The police

4) Teachers

5) Pilots

Medics are well paid already at £100k+

Military are only of international use

Police only used to fight crime

Teachers have little short term benefit

Pilots for what -package holidays

My top ten

1.Refuse collectors

2.Drivers of trams and buses

3.Fire and ambulance

4.Centrica (gas)

5.Linesmen(pylons)

Refuse Collectors

Emergency Services

Power/Water/Sewage workers

Public Transport Workers

Dockers/Haulage Workers

The country would grind to a halt pretty quick without the first 3 and the bottom 2 would just ensure that things could get running again

Electricity Workers

Police

Water company workers

People who produce food

Medical practitioners

Whoever produces and gets the electricity to us, have got to be the single most important people anywhere. If we couldn't get online, imagine the mass trauma ... :o:D
