Hots on
the drivers side door on my car wont open from the inside or outside. anyone got any ideas how i can get it open to take the door card off to have a look whats wrong? the door is unlocked by the way If it really is stuck and wont open at all, all I can think of is taking the inside door panels off and somehow try and get to the lock mechanism that way. Hots on
I've just thought, why dont you leave it closed, remove the window, and get in and out of the car Dukes Of Hazard style?

carltoncdx
Struggle like a fool to get the door card off would be my first port of call. IF you can't get it off you can cut through the striker plate with a sharp hacksaw blade with a tape handle.....will take a while but can be done. Then off to scrappy for a replacement lock and striker. Best of luck!
Bikertec
I persume its central locking try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes that cured the same problem I had on a C5. Failing that you will need to remove the seats to get to the door card. BTW im from Parson cross and take offense at the previous comment.
jon smith
thanks for the useful comments guys all sorted now. used brute force to get the door open. the latch wasnt moving as it should so gave it a bit of wd40 now works a treat
carltoncdx
WD is good at freeing stuck bits but it washes off any grease that as there and leaves a thin film of sticky goo for crud to stick to. Give the lock a squirt of spray grease to keep it free.
