Smack Jack Posted April 8, 2011 Share Posted April 8, 2011 If the door is stuck your options are few. Take the external handle off and see if the mech can be actuated with the cable. Some cars like the BMW X5 have a handle carrier that breaks but pulling the cable would release the door if the cable/actuator was ok. If not its a case of destroy door card to get at the mech - and of course getting onto a breakers yard to see if they have a replacement.
