The first time I went for a C-scope, the doctor told me to take laxatives and an enema beforehand. Then enema wasn't a lot of good - I won't bother with one of those again. It tasted awful and for all the good it did I may as well have shoved it up my bum! He also told me not to eat sweetcorn for a few days beforehand ... said it made him laugh too much to concentrate on what he was doing. On the day, I took a book with me. He said: "What's that?" I said "A book to read." He said: "Oh, you won't need that! - There's a good show on TV and I've rigged it up so you can watch." (He had, too - I had a monitor so I could see what was going on.) Afterwards, I asked him for a certificate. "A certificate saying what?" He asked. "One that says: Notwithstanding what other people may say, I can certify that Rupert is NOT full of <REMOVED>."
