Andy Posted April 12, 2011 Share Posted April 12, 2011 I don't understand why people think switching banks is a hassle. It's easy - but I would do it myself rather than trust the bank to do it. All you need to do is open new account, go through your statement/online banking and contact any companies collecting Direct Debits to give them the new details, switch your salary and hey presto, all done. You just need online banking to monitor when everything's switched over, and until it has you need to leave a float of money in the old account to cover anything that might have been missed for whatever reason.
