I think there was snooker table upstairs.It was a lovely town pub to take the girl friend in. The Athol had a tiny frontage. Easy to miss. Isnt the Yorkshireman closing now? Are you sure that you dont mean the back entrance? because the main part of the pub is still there as a Amusement arcade on the corner of Charles St/ Pinstone St. I dont know about the Yorkshire man but I do remember going in there in the sixties when it was nice pub with waiter service and just like the Kings Arms the type of pub you could take your girlfriend & your Granny in, sad to see it now.
