Bushbaby
Beauty products are so expensive! Who can remember the ones our mothers and grannies used? A fourpenny sachet of "Supersoft" Shampoo. When Mum and sis had done with, the rest of us finished it off!
rainbow2411
My mom and older sisters used Ponds cream and Vaseline I was a 'sophisticated' 60's chick and used Yardleys or Max Factor, Panstick was a big favourite. My hair colour was Belle Air (spelling) black tulip and my perfume of choice was whatever 'try me' sample I was able to spray on from the Boots counter. dunsel
My Gram used to dilute sugar in hot water, put it in a spray bottle, hey presto, hair laquer. Flies a problem in summer, though.

Ms Macbeth
My mom and older sisters used Ponds cream and Vaseline I was a 'sophisticated' 60's chick and used Yardleys or Max Factor, Panstick was a big favourite. My hair colour was Belle Air (spelling) black tulip and my perfume of choice was whatever 'try me' sample I was able to spray on from the Boots counter. My perfume was Topaz by Avon. Then I graduated to Coty L'aimant! I bought my Miner's lipstick and foundation in Woollies - the height of sophistication. I liked heavy black eyeliner and pale mauve lipstick.
