Dick
You wouldn't think it can be that difficult to stop pirates boarding a large merchant ship. Why don't the shipping companies employ armed guards in those waters with suitable weapons and sink any threatening craft that gets close?
Phanerothyme
Maybe they should start "Pirate Hunting Trips" for wealthy gun nuts.
Wildcat
Maybe they should start "Pirate Hunting Trips" for wealthy gun nuts. Perhaps because the wealthy gun nuts would end up mistaking each other for pirates and start shooting one another? Well I guess it would be a form of natural selection. Harleyman
I like the way the Russians handled it when one of their ships was hijacked. Take em far out to se and put em in a leaky boat with no water. It was sickenening to see the group of Somali pirates who cold bloodedly gunned down a middle aged American couple on their yacht then being allowed to surrender and taken to the US for trial. All being escorted off the ship with smiles and smirks on their faces

I suspect our authorities won't want any trials in Britain in case they are found not guilty then claim asylum.

They'll just end up a plague and a nuisance for that particular country to have to deal with.
