Look, do not be taken in by this lie. Some immigration is fine, net immigration is fine. What we have is insane. It needs to end now, but it will not.

Why is it insane?

How would you make sure we can support our elderly when British women don't have enough kids & haven't done for over 40 years?

If more people retire than enter the workforce it becomes unsustainable.

Net migration last year was 252,000 according to the ONS.

It's a lie. The mass unchecked unskilled unwanted immigration has nothing to do with looking after the old. It's all about cheap votes and cheap labour. Wake up!

Are you suggesting that official birth rate fugues are a lie, and the problem of an aging society is nothing more than a myth?

It's not just the low birth rate.

We have a low death rate too, people are living longer than they used to & having a longer retirement. Medical care costs more because we can treat more illnesses now & have more expensive treatments.

Somebody needs to be working to pay for it all, there are more pensioners than there are kids under 16 in the UK.

Exactly, it's not just a case of having more old people, those old people are living longer. Somebody has to pay for the care that these elderly will receive, and that's ignoring any state pensions and other benefits that they'll get.

There's no option to vote for more immigration in your poll.

Robbert the council houses were pulled down because they were so badly maintained (by the council, who knows where the rent money went?) that it was cheaper to demolish & rebuild than bring them up to an acceptable standard. Why weren't more built & why weren't the old ones maintained properly are the right questions to ask.

The country would be poorer if we didn't let immigrants in. About 40-50 years ago native English people decided to stop producing enough kids to support the old ones. The country would be crippled without immigrant labour to fill the gap.

thy spent millions on the flower estate like daffodil road to bring the houses up to standards then to pull them down what a waist a tax payers money and thy employed cowboys to upgrade todays houses when the Tennant could have done a better job

well in firth park thy could have done where Sheffield homes upgraded the houses and employed cowboys i don't no about the rest of Sheffield

Sheffield city council could have done a better job and thats saying somethings i never slag Sheffield council down again for the workman ship it better than what Sheffield homes used to bring the houses up-to modern day living standards

Immigrants, especially the ones that are only here for a short time, are keeping wages low with their willingness to work for the peanuts that many factories and warehouses etc pay them; its not helping the situation for "native" people that are stuck here because there's no incentive for employers to raise wages when there's a steady stream of "cheep labour" coming in from elsewhere.

I dont mean to sound like I'm blaming immigrants but they are ready and willing to work for the low wages that exploitative employers are paying.

A lot of immigrants do work that indigenous Brits would refuse to do, but the notion they're uneducated is wrong, most immigrants are quite well educated and less likely to claim benefits than others. We need them, desperately. Our pensions rely on them.
