What are we going to do when the oil runs out

Recommended Posts

I think there'll be little choice but to eventually by mid century drill undersea and there must be huge amounts under the Pacific alone.

The problem is that there just isnt enough advancement in technology at present towards finding a really cheap and efficient alternate energy source to replace it. What we have in place right now is hardly the solution.

No doubt an alternative energy source will eventually be found but it's light years away at the moment.

Most of the Pacific is mid-ocean bedrock - there won't be any oil in that. You only get oil deposits in continental shelves and onshore.

they can already make cars that run on tap water, technology has gone more miles than oil since oil was discovered, the reason you cant but a car that runs on water is because the oil produces wont let you!

No they don't. Show me how you plan on beating the most fundamental law of the universe and I'll reconsider.

we're not going too. these companies warn about dwindling stocks just enough to boost the price but not enough to cause a loss of confidence in the company, then miraculously discover new reserves every few years. its all a con.

We have to stop relying on the fact that their is more oil out there to use. It will run out, be it 10-30 years or 200 years if we hit the "jackpot".

I'd like to see more research into Hydrogen fuel. Hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe, however storing it is another issue. Whomever can solve the problem of storing Hydrogen safely for use in motor vehicles will be the richest person in history

Hydrogen has already been designed to a perfection to use, just recently Japan has made a car the runs on water by extracting Hydrogen from it.

The elites the run the world will do everything they can to keep these inventions out of the spotlight so they can keep making money on the oil.

Remember the US Dollar depends on the price of OIL if theres no oil theres no US Dollar, no Dollar = total economic crash.

Tomorrows world showed an engine that ran on water as long ago as the early 1980s.

What fuel source are you using to extract the hydrogen from the water then?

What's oil got to do with your notion of "American world dominance"?

The US imports part of it's oil requirement from Venezuela, Canada and the middle east. The rest is domestcally produced. The way you talk you seem to be under the delusion the the country is the major world exporter of oil instead :loopy::hihi:

Anyway to set you straight there are still vast amoints of untapped oil under the oceans. The technology is now there to be able to drill for it but due to the cost it's not considered a viable venture at this time. However within the next two decades the major economic powers including the US will start undersea drilling and that's a no brainer

OIL has everything to do with their role in world dominance. how else is a great war machine supposed to run? Plus the dollar depends on the price of oil.
