craig12
when you weigh it up, for a self employed person like myself school has little bearing on what i do now, maybe the maths and english but the rest were a complete waste of time and not needed, ie chemistry/woodwork/metalwork/ geography/art/history/technical grawing/ , nothing .nothing to do with self employment
rubydazzler
But you'd be a very one dimensional personality if all you knew about was maths and English, don't you think? Maybe not chemistry, unless you wanted to follow a science career, but art, history and geography, if only for the interest?

HeadingNorth
The lesson of discipline and focusing your effort on something clearly worked, if you're making a success of being self-employed. Without all those boring subjects that you had to discipline yourself, focus your effort and get on with despite not feeling like it, do you think you would have learnt that lesson? Many never do.
