yan
Wasabisabi is fantastic, especially if you go to the Tepanyaki side of the restaurant.

SB Stonework
You could try the bridge inn at ford, I'm told their ravioli on toast is second to none.
Guest sibon
Why not pop out of town and go here. You won't be disappointed.
Bojolo
I wouldn't really put Setti Colli in the same league as Marco@Milano. In the city centre I can heartily recommend Antibo in West 1 and Ego next to the Winter Gardens. They're pretty posh for Sheffield! Or if you want to go really upmarket try Greenhead House. I don't think Carriages are still trading but you could look it up.

Bulgarian
If the whole point of the night is to spend a lot then I'd recommend Marco@Milano, but really what is more important, a nice meal or a "posh" restaurant ? if the food actually matters to you I'd go to The Old Vicarage

Would you class that as overly expensive? it's the drinks in any restaurant that can make it an expensive night. I can't comment on the Old Vicarage cos i haven't been.
