Offending someone who's Grammar is bad. is it an- Ism?

Recommended Posts

An -ism?! No.

Poor grammar, at least as seen on this forum, isn't a disability and has nothing to do with dyslexia. It's all down to ignorance. Don't know the difference between there/their/they're or your/you're? Then LEARN the difference! Don't know why "should of" is wrong? LEARN! Don't know where to use commas and full stops? LEARN!!

Everybody on this forum has a basic grasp of English and access to the Internet. That's all you need to LEARN.

How would you know that someone's poor spelling and grammar isn't due to dyslexia or some other learning difficulty though? It's not as if you're going to check before you slate them is it? The SF grammar police rarely consider doing that, they just go straight for the jugular.

This is what I mean, straight away you're ready to criticize without knowing what the reason might be. As far as I'm concerned that's bigotry.
