Glasses Tints and Colours

hi folks

 

am getting some new glasses and having 2 pairs, 1 clear and 1 sun shades

 

now what is best for sun shades, either brown or grey tints

 

grey looks brighter to me but brown reduces light better, though i may be wrong

 

am also going to use them for my driving lessons and general use

Hi,

 

I always go on the colour of the frames. If they are brown go for the brown lenses or if they are grey/black I'd go for the grey lenses.

 

I don't think grey lenses with brown frames or brown lenses with black frames are a good look (just my opinion:D)

 

I don't really think either lense colour has one advantage over the other in terms of performance though (although I could be wrong on this) Probably best to ask your optician on this one.

If you can afford the extra (and if your eyesight is unlikely to change much in the near future, so the lens prescription is likely to be good for a few years) you might consider photochromatic plastic lenses in 'memory' frames.
