Damkina
Does anyone know if there is an English Civil War group based in or around Sheffield. Also, are there any Civil War event days around South Yorkshire over the summer. Norfolk Park is already on our list if it is planned for later in the year. Thanks Damkina
Blackbeard
You could try contacting "John Bright's Regiment of Foote" not sure where they are based but John Bright was, I believe, based at Carbrook Hall. http://www.johnbrights.org.uk/index.html
Angilaruk
Hi Damkina I am a member of the Molyneux Company of Foote who are a local group belonging to the Sealed Knot who re-enact the English Civil war. Our first battle of the year will be at Elvaston Castle in Derby to be held on the Sunday and Monday of the Bank Holiday. There is also another battle in August at Wentworth Castle for the weekend. If you are interested in joining please feel free to contact me privately and I can give you more details. Our company are very much family orientated with young family members (under 5 yrs) to singles and couples. The historical part is fantastic, but the socialising part is even better. I never thought in a million years I'd enjoy camping!! Our website is http://www.sheffieldroyalists.webs.com the site is in need of an update on the dates of events, but all the other information is relevant. Hope that helps Angi
