It wasn't so much the bus being too small, probably the opposite if anything....It was too big. We started at The Castle and the bus never turned up, we were told later that it couldn't make it up the road.

We then got a taxi to the Coach & Horses, which was fantastic with a real good atmosphere and excellent range of beers.

We later jumped on a bus going the wrong way (our fault not the drivers :D) and ended up back in Dronfield.....The driver then went and got some fish and chips and advised us he wouldn't be setting off for another 30 minutes.....So we jumped in another taxi to our next venue. :hihi:

Overall it was a good day out, although I would say some of the venues entered into the spirit of it more than others. We never made it up to Totley, but of those we did go to the Coach & Horses was comfortably the best.

Circumstances permitting we'll all be back again this year because it was certainly an enjoyable and different day out. We don't normally go drinking up that end of town, so it was good to try out some different pubs.

Regards

Andy,

Will you be doing a pub by pub beer list with details of beer strengths like last year?

We're intending getting the train into Dore early Saturday Afternoon, but we'll probably only make about 50% of the pubs so we want to make sure we get the ones with beers that we like.

It's a great idea and thanks for keeping us updated with these events, it is appreciated.

Regards

Doom
