"Super injunctions".Should there be a law against them ?

Recommended Posts

yes, these injunctions smack of one-law-for-them-one-for-us, but, outside of the archbishop of Canterbury or some such leader with a 'moral imperative' to not sleep around, why should we be so bothered whether we know or not. it's not a matter of national security, or public interest, for that matter, really, who's sleeping with who at some football team

Yes but when it's used for something like this http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=5&ved=0CDwQFjAE&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.tpuc.org%2Fnode%2F34&ei=Y0O3TanjL9Co8AOswKlA&usg=AFQjCNHqavzwUVbvhGI3D5YScs-gtXexWQ

"Blair government, which has already issued a D-Notice to gag the press from revealing the names of known paedophiles within the British executive, including at least two senior ministers; and the case highlights the government's NATO boss and Blair government insider Lord Robertson has threatened to sue Scotland's leading independent newspaper over internet allegations that he not only used his influence as a Freemason to procure a gun licence for child killer Thomas Hamilton, but was also a member of a clandestine paedophile ring reportedly set up by Hamilton for the British elite"

I am bothered.

But to be fair, this (regardless of whether it is actually true or not) is a completely different situation. This is the Government (possibly) using D notices, not private individuals seeking superinjunctions.
