coolbeans
For May's edition of our live Cool Beans shenanigans we've teamed up with those cheeky scamps over at Hip Hop Ha Ha to bring you a night of music, comedy and chap-hop. We are extremely excited to be bringing you... MR B THE GENTLEMAN RHYMER From deepest darkest Surrey, and with a decade of gentlemanly catterwalling under his belt, Mr.B brings you Chap-Hop, re-acquainting Hip-Hop with the Queen's English from whence it came. Whethe...r it's performing on Radio 1 or at Glastonbury Festival, Mr B is a bonafide gentleman. His live show involves him whipping out his banjolele to perform ditties of pipe-smoking, high society, Cricket and sexual misadventure. I say! THE GRAND OLD UKES OF YORKSHIRE These chaps impressed us so much when they appeared on the Cool Beans Radio Show that we immediately asked them to bring their ukulele versions of popular 90s hits to the stage. At first they were wary, but after promising them four and a half packs of Dairylea Lunchables they dutifully agreed! Hooray! HAM POCKET Some people say only dogs can hear them, some people say they practice in a shed surrounded by turkeys, some people say that they will only perform in exchange for a gold-plated statue of Rasputin. All these rumours may or may not be true. One thing's for sure though, they are called Ham Pocket. (Or are they?) HIP HOP HA HA In between the acts, the Ha Ha side of the Hip Hop Ha Ha Collective will be providing the entertainment, ensuring that nobody becomes restless. Expect a mish mash of stand up, crowd games, prizes and intimate cleansing wipes. That's right, intimate cleansing wipes. Plus HIP HOP HA HA DJs and COOL BEANS DJs till 2AM! Drinks Deals! Bottles of Budvar - £2 Single spirit and mixer - £2 Jagerbombs - £2 The first 100 tickets will be only £4, everything after will be £5. The cheapies are available from... Dom Kidson (Eccy Road/Hunters Bar) - 07972 516806 Nyasha HaHa (Crookesmoor/Town) - 07870 980999 Chris Arnold (Broomhill/pubs) - 07920 486186 Or alternatively online at the Harley website. On top of this, all ticket holders will be able get a half price haircut from the Loaf Hair Salon in Broomhill. (We recommend the Mr B parting and tash). Additionally, Mr B will also be stopping by the Cool Beans Radio Show earlier that evening for a quick chinwag and live performance. Come down, sit back and light a pipe. Doors open at 7:30!
