0742Sheff
. France had a sensible solution to outlawing dangerous dogs such as Pit Bulls. We have banned certain breeds as well. The problem is every type of dog can be dangerous. A Pit Bull is no more dangerous than a German Shepherd IMO.
teenyweeny
Eradicate 99% of the unemployed from this equation by getting rid of Staffordshire Bull Terriers. what a stupid thing to say.

Harleyman
We have banned certain breeds as well. The problem is every type of dog can be dangerous. Here the owner is more than likely to be sued by the injured person and the dog taken away by the police and after a court hearing more than likely euthanized. The owner also faces a stiff fine for failing to adequately confine the animal on his property

fake
Pets shouldn't be phased out as all that need to be done is make cats and dogs illegal to own and replace them with little pigs, sheep and maybe goats. I say maybe goats cos they can be a little anti-social at times. That way if they savage anyone and have to be destroyed at least they would provide something to eat. carosio
I'm unsure about megalithic's attitude towards guide dogs, working sheep dogs, police dogs, search and rescue dogs, many of these are also kept as pets by their owners/handlers.
