Is the BNP too multinational to be a proper nationalist party?

Recommended Posts

The British National Party are getting hammered!

After 135 council election results, the anti-immigration party had won one seat with a net loss of nine councillors.

And the neighbour of mine who raves on about the BNP didn't bother to vote. :hihi:

Britain is made up of Wales, Scotland, England, Northern Ireland.

And these nations strive for their own independence.

The Scottish National Party will form Scotland's first ever majority government after a stunning election victory.

The Scottish National Party has just took Scotland.

Has the door being opened to truly national politics?

And are the BNP too multinational to be a nationalist party?

they're just too dumb to be ANY kind of party really. the SNP has real policies that go beyond 'send'em back'. something more palatable might do better. UKIP not doing much better though.

i suppose England doesn't really have cause for nationalism in the same way wales, Scotland and Ireland have.

"Britain is made up of Wales, Scotland, England, Northern Ireland"

Northern Ireland is not part of Great Britain but it is part of the UK.

Maybe they will stand candidates in Ireland and rename themselves the Great British National Party, but I highly doubt they will :hihi:

Well I think a lot of the support they had was as a protest vote against Labour's immigration policies. As they're now gone and the coalition have a stated aim to heavily reduce immigration what would be the point of voting for them?

There's no need to vote for the BNP as a protest vote against immigration when the ruling party is not pro-immigration, it's a no-brainer, any fool could have told you their vote would collapse because of that.

Despite my natural aversion for the BNP Im still surprised they do quite as badly as they do.

Superficially they rattle a lot of cages-best for Britain, kick the immigrants out, bring back corporal punishment/death penalty-all that mallarkey.

Obviously the great British public doesnt grind it's teeth as much as Nick Griffin believes it does.

They also have a problem with history, this is on the front page of their website:

"The British National Party’s struggle to preserve indigenous culture is exemplified by the polarity of St George’s Day celebrations in England today: traditional family festivals contrasted with multicultural appropriations complete with black “Islamic” St Georges"

They obviously are unaware that St George is venerated in Islamic culture, or that he wasn't white or born in Britain..dipsticks!

Ps: unsurprisingly there's no comment on their poor showing in the elections.

some of the things the website, their spokesmen and other within the party do and say, you have to wonder if it's not all just some big beadle's about thing on a grand scale.
