jetmusic
Wed 11 May SHEFFIELD Greystones, Greystones Road, Sheffield, S11 7BS Tel. 0114 2665599 8.00pm £10 Giles Robson and The Dirty Aces are indeed the fast rising stars on the UK and international music scenes. Robson first came to the attention of the UK national press in 2010 when backing blues legend Muddy Waters’ eldest son Mud Morganfield. The band's track The Mighty Incinerator was spotted by superstar DJ Chris Evans when it was aired on the Paul Jones show. Evans immediately requested the song and played it on his breakfast show the next morning. This is the first time in the 25 year History of the Blues show that a track has been picked out and played on a national show with more than 10 million listeners. Evans was in no doubt about the quality, stating "This is so good". You can hear a recording of the airplay and Evans' comments on the band's MySpace site www.myspace.com/gilesrobsonthedirtyaces" Catch them at Greystones !
