HeadingNorth
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-13305522 Bad news for Labour in what seemed to be its greatest stronghold. Bad news for pretty much everyone except the SNP in fact; they've captured seats from all three main parties. Presumably the SNP will now introduce their referendum on leaving the Union. HeadingNorth
I don't know the Scots well enough to make an informed prediction. If the Scots do vote heavily against leaving the Union, does the SNP no longer have a reason to exist?
Chris_Sleeps
Someone on the news earlier said that the Scottish Parliament need permission from Westminster to hold a referendum. It could be a ploy to ask and be denied, and the SNP don't lose face and the Conservatives have no interest in Scotland so won't lose either.
