alchresearch
Wouldn't a 3 year old find the keys a bit heavy?
medusa
Very small children use their whole hands to depress the keys, so no, the keys aren't too heavy for them. Lessons for very small children are all about starting to understand what written music looks like and how to turn that into a tune, understanding how to find a tune, copy rhythms and individual notes etc, and things like fingering come in a little later, when they're a little older with bigger hands. callippo
they already possess an instrument that doesn't got a penny, it's called their singing voice. It's possible to teach children how to comprehend music notation using that and a tuning fork to start, and from a very young age. Piano comes later, once they've figured out the basics of music theory.
Mr Prime
With the new breed of sharp elbowed middle class pushy parents, don't most kids start learning in the womb?
