Speak Easy
Hi all! On the 24th of May, I'd love to tempt you all to come and join us at... Speak Easy! Sheffield's FREE Spoken Word Open Mic night. Yes. i am plugging a night, but honestly it's a good laugh, free to get in and you can have a go doing whatever you like* on stage for five minutes. Poetry, storytelling, stand up comedy and songs are all particularly welcome. Our theme this month is 'Temptation', and to entice you back to the dark side of poetry and spoken word, we have the wonderful Storyteller Tim Ralphs as our featured act. We will, as usual, be looking for performers from the floor, so if the limelight tempts you, please get in touch soon to book a slot! You can reach us at speakeasyshef@gmail.com. The venue is A-Pod, upstairs at the Hubs (Hallam Union), Paternoster Row, Sheffield. You know, the big, kettledrum effort opposite the Showroom and down from the Rutland Arms. We'll be kicking off at 7:30pm.admission is free, and the bar will be open. Hope to see you there! Sarah @ Speak Easy

Speak Easy
It was three back in the old days of words aloud. We'v always allowed five, but it's strictly enforced!
