DW298
Lots of great ideas here, some similar to what we would suggest! We are DemonWheelers, a local events company and we get a lot of bookings for outdoor activities birthday bookings. We've seen that paint balling was a potential for you, why not look further into outdoor activities that can work our cost effective for groups. Maybe your husband might enjoy archery, crossbow, rage buggies, quad biking, 4x4 driving, clay pigeon shooting etc ? We are Sheffield based but travel Nationwide! Check out our website and give us a call, hopefully we can help. http://demonwheelers.com
scousemouse
How about lunch on the train? The station at Darley Dale has offers, I think it comes under Peak Rail. Something a bit different, if you didn't to go too far.
chimay
For my OH's 50th I booked a weekend ferry to Denmark and back. We went from Harwich. There might be something similar from Hull.
alisoncal
Hi, would he be interested in having a go at archery? At Abbeydale Archers they have the facilities & equipment to provide corporate style events. Beauchief Hotel is just down the road from the archery location. These are a good laugh where you can come along with no previous archery experience and try out shooting at different styles of targets. If you want any more information send an e-mail to committee@abbeydalearchers.com. Good luck in finding something suitable if you haven't already done so, Alison. ladyacademic
Day at the races? The only significant cost is transport there and back, and family and friends could contribute to a pot he can use for betting.
