we carry on printing money

the interests keeps piling up

we always had national debt!

if we did not have national debt how would the poor international bankers cloth and feed them selves!

Why don 't you put up for Chancellor if the Exchequer.

Millions of people have nothing, not even a roof over their heads and the ones that did may have lost it during one of the many natural disasters.

And despite the Aid they get they won't have a roof next year either, regarding natural disasters probables/ possibles/conpricys don't count.

Charity begins at home!

What the hell do we want from Pakistan then. Don't we have enough of thier unwanted.

No, what we get is Pakistan's aid in the war against the Taliban. They are taking the brunt of the civilian causalities, their military losses dwarf ours. Unless you think we should either put more military forces into the fight, or accept defeat at the Taliban's hands the money is being well spent.

There you go Riche...someone has answered your question.

Can we afford overseas aid, or can we afford not to give overseas aid. Is it given to countries as a bribe in order that they tow the line.

I believe we should help our fellow human beins yes! I also believe we should not give aid if we cannot afford to look after our own first.

I don't like to see people here losing their homes, or living on a poor wage. We should maybe look at sorting that problem out first before we try and save the rest of the world.

So...you are against educating poor Pakistanis and providing them with a decent education. Instead you think they should be left to the Madrassas and fundamentalist teachers to educate, indoctrinate and fight against us?

Yet you are the one using the :loopy: ?
