shcfa Posted May 17, 2011 Share Posted May 17, 2011 Sheffield & Hallamshire FA are holding a FA Coaching Futsal – A Beginners Guide course on Sunday 19th June 2011 at Hillsborough Leisure Centre. The course starts at 9am and lasts for approximately 6 hours finishing at 3pm. All attendees of this course will receive two free tickets to the upcoming FA International Futsal friendly between England and Greece being held at the English Institute of Sport on the weekend of the 24th and 25th June 2011. This is a fantastic opportunity not only to learn how to coach the 5-a-side game but to also attend an international Futsal match between some of world’s best Futsal players at an internationally renowned sporting venue in Sheffield. Places on this course are limited and are offered on a strict first come first served basis. It is advisable to book no later than 17th June to avoid disappointment. The course is suitable for individuals over the age of 16 and will be led by FA approved tutors. Candidates will learn the basic skills and techniques needed to coach Futsal for a range of ages and will be provided with an understanding of the rules and principles of the game of Futsal. Candidates will learn the laws of Futsal and will become confident in how to coach correctly using appropriate skills and techniques that have been influential in shaping some of the best football talent the world has seen. Futsal is differentiated from 11- a -side football due to its emphasis on tighter ball control, a smaller playing space and greater skill development. The course cost is £40 and will include 2 x free tickets to the FA International Futsal friendly. shcfa Posted May 18, 2011 Author Share Posted May 18, 2011 Currently the FA Futsal Coaching Course is mainly aimed at coaches who are involved in Youth football either in a club setting or schools. We run a huge School Futsal Programme which has a clear pathway through to a National Final in July. In terms of Futsal for adults this is something we are looking to launch in September 2011 once we have hopefully been successfully with a grant from Sportivate. Watch this space!
