Labour's First Anniversary in Opposition

Recommended Posts

Milliband is not attempting to run the country, that's down to VAT Man and the Boy Blunder, so it doesn't really matter what he says or thinks.

Ed Miliband is attempting to become Prime Minister. That's kinda the main aim of every single leader of Her Majesty's Opposition since the days of Charles James Fox.

As such it's worth keeping an eye on what he and his party are up to.

What can the opposition do? An election is nowhere near, a play for votes is not on the agenda at the moment. The only option they have at the present time is to vote against the government when the opportunity arises.

But what if the coalition collapses and a snap election is called? Surely it would help if Labour did have a few policies to rub together in that instance?

It might also help if Labour did summat to make themselves trustworthy again as well but that's just my humble opinion.

If the coalition collapses, I think the tories will somehow get to wing it alone without a majority. Their intentions are quite clear, they are going to dig in and run the entire country into the ground again.

So what goes on in the house of Commons each day is irrelevant then?

Sit back and enjoy the demise of the coalition, they don’t need to do anything at the moment as Clegg and Cameron seem to be doing a good job of shooting themselves in the foot.

As for Ed Miliband does anyone see him as anymore than doing a caretaker roll, I would be surprised if he was the leader whenever Labour get in power again.

They should vote against them at all times? That's not Opposition, that's being bloody minded for the sake of it. Also known as cutting your nose off to spite your face.
