Facebook is it time for me to move on?

Recommended Posts

I think if facebook is used correctly then it can be a really good tool.

I have found and am now in touch with relatives who I haven't had contact with for quite a number of years and its really good being able to be in touch with them again.

I am also in touch with ex work colleagues and it is nice being able to catch up with them and chat to them especially as I don't see them very often.

It's also a great way for me to keep in touch with my daughter and to find out what my darling grandson is up to.

I would really miss it now if it wasn't available.

I just feel it's a lazy and impersonal means of communication.

That sums it up for me really.

Why do you feel that?

It's certainly no less impersonal than e-mails or texts.

Or even "communicating" on forums.

Typed text can never replace face to face or phone conversations.

I know calls can be expensive but also very cheap, if you put the effort in.

I do use facebook, but only to check on the latest pics uploaded by friends on a subject close to heart, not pics of kids, family etc.
