Bunderson
Wow, I thought this place was meant to be good too! Just shows you that if you let the standards slip, you quickly go downhill.
DerbyTup
Been twice and got very mixed feelings about this place. Some of the dishes were very tasty - but others not - and poor value for money - like the silly little fishcakes that someone mentions here. I ordered that when I went and couldn't believe the meagre portion or the ordinariness of it. The main thing that puts us off is they keep letting themselves down doing stupid things - on one occasion they ran out of veg - on another they brought us a bottle of wine that had already been opened and some taken out. They are very receptive to feedback if something is wrong - but can't they just do it right in the first place?
dhs1
I went for the earlybird menu a couple of months ago and was impressed. Service excellent. Had pie as main and pastry was perfect. Enjoyed it so much promised myself I'd go once a month. Haven't but will go again. Difficult to believe it's the same restaurant.

Bulgarian
Silversmiths has been voted a runner up as best restaurant in Britain by readers of the Observer Food Magazine. I can't imagine that many people in Sheffield read the Observer Food Magazine
Bulgarian
anyone been to the Silversmiths Pie night? yes, it was pretty good, portions were a bit small though, when I think pie I think big pie and leaving feeling stuffed, that wasn't the case.
