did anyone use to go to the pheasant pub at sheffield lane top in the 90s.

 

went in for the last 30 odd years from most dinners for last couple and virtually every neet ,, thats when tap room were fill and you had darts team x2 ,, pool team x2 and games league ,,,, to just a cople a visits a week ,, all day opening as ruined many a pub

Such a shame, things were picking up if someone could have sorted the oddments out it could have been good again.

 

enterprise inns only took it over knowing that one day all that land that comes with the Fez Bar would come in handy sooner or later , there just a management company ,, i heard on grapevine that someone contacted them and offered to give it a go but they weren,t intrested ,, how true it is ,,i don,t know :¬(

Yes they wanted 25k up front and they only were giving short term promises as to what was happening, I just got the impression that they do not want it as a pub any more the land is worth a lot more to them, they have to get allsorts of permission to build on the land, I think it will be OAP flats in the end or something similar.

wot gets me brother ,, how come a new liscence wasn,t granted ,, there,s a few more pubs out theer with a worst track record than the owd Fez Bar ,, i smell a brown envelope with summat in it :¬0

The licences are not granted on the property the person running the pub has to apply for a licence the police can object to the application if they have had problems there though.

 

its all doomngloom then Shogun ,, suprised Witherspoons weren,t intrested even if it is out of town !!!
