x-GiGgLeS-x
Can someone tell me roughly how much a wedding is ment to cost? We have took the fantastic deal with Sheffield Deal of the day but now everything seems to be getting so expensive.. We are working things out to come to 8-10 grand how is this possible and how are we gonna be able to cut cost?
Halibut
It'll cost as much as you let it. Set a budget and stick to it. Some people spend £500 and some spend upwards of £20,000.
Bloomdido
Mine cost £120. We did go all the way to London though or it would have been cheaper.

medusa
If you have everything that you think you should have then I guarantee that you won't be able to afford it. Pick the things which are deal breakers and then compromise on the cost of everything else.
dizzybird77
Just depends what you want I suppose, I am determined ours will be under £2k. The way I see it is that if we spend a fortune on other things our deal won't be the bargain it's supposed to be! I think you can also get caught up in what you're 'expected' to have, IMO half the stuff is never noticed by anyone other than you. Pick the things that are important to you ad a couple and then root out the cheapest deal. Be prepared to haggle, November weddings aren't in season so most places will be glad of a booking and do you a nice deal :-) eBay is always a winner xxxx
snoopjiggy
I find it mental when people spend loads on weddings, as someone said alot of things aren't noticed anyway. You can have a great wedding on a budget!

Tradescanthia
The most expensive weddings actually look 'tacky' to me. Men in penguin suits and top hats look ridiculous. Trying to look something you are not is in bad taste. A simple ceremony, a nice church, a sensible reception with a bit of a gig after is all you need. A case of 'less is more' ???
