crookesey
I know very little about expensive wine, however I do prefer my favoured red wine to be made from grapes and not assorted fruit and berries, that makes it taste like fermented Ribena. I also like it to be dry and peppery on my palate, however I wouldn't have a clue if it was a £4.99 or a £9.99 bottle. If you take the time to read the label on back of the bottle, you have half a chance of buying something that you like. I think that there is a snob thing about tasting wine, but then again I have always prided myself on being able to know a good pint of beer. Gram?
I won't even consider a bottle of wine if it costs less than £25.

MedocMad
Hi, the list of wines are next to the persons name on page one. You are more than welcome to bring the Sassicaia as they are top notch wines. Which vintage have Costco got at present ? We all bring one or two bottles and share them and discuss the wine. The group is brand new and we have a mixed knowledge base. Let me know if you would like to attend so I can order your choice off the menu (page two). Regards Richard

JPFQ
prestige 1,000. Here we go... Go into Waitrose and ask for the following wine, you my friend will thanks me. Would appreciate your thoughts after you finish the bottle. Chateau Musar - around £18 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ch%C3%A2teau_Musar Despite the fighting between arabs (Hezbollah) and Jews (IDF etc) this wines continues to be produced and all forces appreciate what Serge Hochar has done with his vineyards. Enjoy, well done Lebanon!
