callippo
No way! 45 notes for a wire. 'fraid so. It's not just the wire, it was out of town (plus Scotland). they have to pay not just the labour, but rent, overheads, electricity etc. I was happy with the price. I was half-expecting, that with my English accent and the Brave Heart syndrome, they might rip me off. In the end, we had a massive great big laugh about it and got it off quick. megalithic
I remember having to lay in a puddle with my van on ramps (Not you mate) to reconnect the earth wire back to the alternator on my van, only a few months back. Dirty work, something i don't mind, and cost me nothing but a wet coat and back. Nowhere as bad as swimming in Sheaf Valley as a kid though. callippo
You had a lucky escape! brilliant set of lads they were. I quipped I'd be ready to vote Scots Nats for this, and then they chimed back don't be stupid. This was in Edinburgh as well. Fantastic.
