Riche
A hate crime? Certainly. But more significantly, it's a vicious crime directly attributable to the inability of many Muslims to adapt to Western lifestyle and social norms. Hatred like this is a terrible thing, but let's not forget that so very much of it is the product of Islam's teachings. You are no con, con rod, This site is oh so pro Islam you will find yourself marginalized as a racist before long. Keep the faith:hihi:
quisquose
sigh no it isnt many millions of muslims manage to get on just fine living where they live in peace. this case highlights the way human beings manage to TWIST things for their own ends and turn to extremes it also shows how SOME people cannot think and think what the consequences of their actions might be Normally I would agree, but this attack was motivated entirely by the Islamic religious beliefs which these men held in respect of pleasing Allah. That was quite clearly explained by the judge, and the reason they got indeterminate sentences. Whilst it is plainly obvious that most Muslims can get along fine, these characters prove that religious beliefs can be motivation towards violent acts. Sure, I agree with you, SOME people can TWIST things for their own ends. In other words, violent people can use religion as an excuse for violent actions. But dogma can also TWIST people, and this is what happened here. Anyway here's an update on the story in today's Telegraph: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/8538804/Men-who-beat-up-RE-teacher-were-terrorist-suspects.html

Not dressing it up m8, just saying that if followed how it should be, we'd love each other more. We're all human and make lots of mistakes. flamingjimmy
Not dressing it up m8, just saying that if followed how it should be, we'd love each other more. And on what grounds is the way you think it 'should be' followed any more valid than anyone else's?
discodown
And on what grounds is the way you think it 'should be' followed any more valid than anyone else's?It isn't, but if everyone was singing from the same hymn sheet as it were there would be less conflict. Besides which who's to say he hasn't got it spot on?

Besides which who's to say he hasn't got it spot on? That which is asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

Ms Macbeth
Dress it up how you like. Without their religion it wouldnt have happened. I disagree. Without their extremist view of their religion it wouldn't have happened. There are extremists in all sections of society. These thugs did not behave the way they did because of Islam, it was because they were thugs. Football violence doesn't occur because of football, it happens because some 'supporters' are violent, and take being a 'fan' to extreme ends. People who are full of hate and violence use religion and football (just two examples) as reasons. Aren't those of us who don't behave like them intelligent enough to realise 'religion' and 'football' are just excuses?
