American contribution to the world

All their bombers eh, never heard of the Ar-234 have we? or the He-274/277 or even the Ju-390 a plane with an endurance of 32 hours and which flew within twelve miles of New York. So your lack of knowledge of helicopters is only exceeded by your ignorance of their bombbers.
And what was the effeiciency of these bombers regarding payload and speed.

How many have you flown or worked on?

In what way does flying or working on helicopters give you any knowledge of the history and background of the helicopter? or of anything? The fact that you are using a keyboard means you know what about the history of the keyboard? Knowing the history of the keyboard is irrelevent to the use of the keyboard as you well know.

He comes up with all this technical stuff but misses the point that none of these wonder aircraft with the exception of the ME-262 jet were mass produced or saw combat.

My point was that the bombers that the Luftwaffe had in actual service were junk compared to the B-17, the B-29, the B-24 and the Avro Lancaster.

In Russian they didn't even have the range to reach Stalin's factories east of Moscow.

Really? Based upon what? When did the Allies have a jet aircraft with similar or better capabilities? Sept 1944?

The P-51 with a Rolls Royce Merlin engine may not have been a jet aircraft but it was more than a match for the FW-190, had the range to escort bombers far into Germany and shot the hell out German troops and armour on the ground.

It dont matter how fancy your planes are if they cant be produced in quantity and cannot be used in effective combat operations so there's no point in mentioning all this stuff the Germans had if it was never used.

Efficient enough to bomb the hell out of major cities on UK mainland. Allied forces at the time as well as Axis knew that numbers were all important, so efficiency was about numbers as a collective.

They may well have bombed well initialy but being as inefficient as they proved to be they abondoned the invasion of the UK due to unsustainable losses.

The ME262 was extremely expensive and un cost effective to run, with engines that had to be rebuilt after very short service time, the Gloster Meteor was a better overall jet fighter.
