Recommended Posts

how do you know what to pick?

I am 5 feet 1 and would like a

dress that does not overwhelm me

I have been through countless

magazines and numerous websites

and still avent a clue

try monsoon, I liked one on their website that they don't have in my size so I am looking to get something similar made.

For something really different and unique try the Sheffield Antique Market at Heeley. They have vintage dresses which are amazingly cheap but very beautiful - and a very green alternative to yet another mass produced wedding gown

I would say I didn't know what to pick! I had an idea of what I wanted-and when I actually went shopping I found that what I wanted looked HORRIBLE on me :hihi:

Do what I did-even though I refuse to pay the silly prices of some wedding dress shops, I made appointments with a couple to see what styles suited me-and for all the faults of some of the assistants you've gotta give them credit where it's due-they know exactly what looked good on my figure (5 foot 6/7, curvy size 12). Now I know what suits me I'm going to find the dresses I like (or very similar) elsewhere :hihi:

Although I do have another shopping trip planned next Saturday with one of my bridesmaids just for he fun of it :D

The Sheffield Antiques market is at 178, Broadfield Road Heeley - just down the road from Heeley baths. I'm afraid I dont have the post code. Its a fantastic treasure trove and I've bought lots of beautiful clothes there.
